After morning tea these science people with a very long car came. Our teacher told us that we were going to go into the hall where they were. As I and my classmates stepped in the hall we saw lots of tables and tools on them. Miss told us that she was going to put us into groups of 3-4. I got put into a group with Brielle, Hokianga, and Bryce Which was alright.

Next the scientists introduced themselves and told us about how we were going to be making blue dye. We all put some protective glasses and gloves on and started to pour some white power, clear liquid, water, etc into a glass cup. I honestly didn’t know any of the stuff we poured into the glass cup except from the water.

After we poured the things in we heated it up on the little stovetop thingy and this guy put this stuff in it and it turned blue it was pretty cool. Next we had to wait for a bit for the liquid to make a shiny top and while we were waiting we made twisted around a piece of fabric and put a band on it so when we dipped it into the dye it would look amazing.

 Next we had to put it in the little machine kinda thing im not to sure what it was and it made it into a powder then we had to scrap out the powder and put some liquid in it and put it onto the stovetop thing again and then we had our dye and we dipped our fabric into the dye and took it out after a minute and we had a pretty tye dyed piece of fabric 

We did planting today with an parolimpic swimmer. She was soo nice and we were all talking to her and asking her questions well planting. We also watered the plants we planted. and I learnt alot about planting from the other guy that was there.

We played volleyball for 10 or so minutes today and I hit the ball a few times. I like to play volleyball because its fun and your always doing something or waiting for the ball to come near you. im not that good at it though but Im trying to get better.

I come from a place with green sparkly grass all filled in a big space with brown dirty gates. The porch needs polish because it’s got faded, the trampoline creeks like old floor boards and the play ground from years ago is musty now.

My house looks kinda like a big cottage. You can always hear my brother yelling at his friends on roblox and my sisters music blasting. My dad works outside on our house while my mum is at work. My house has majestic things from my parents travels as well.

I’m normally in my room in my comfy blankets on my phone scrolling through tiktok or snapping my friends. I feel safe and comfortable in the place I come from.

We did these flowers for pet day. First we practiced and thought about the design we were going to do. Then we painted the background with painted then we colored the details with paint pens then that’s how it came out.

 We worked in teams to build the tallest towers we could using only marshmallows, spaghetti, rope, and a little tap. It wasn’t easy but we kept trying different ideas. I was in a group with Neve and Bryce and our tower wasn’t very good it kept falling over and the spaghetti kept on snaping. My group used the marsmellow at the bottom of our tower then poked the spagehtti in the marshmellow peices.

The toaster

We made comics in my class this week. We could do the comics about either a made up story, a charector, or a personal story that happened to you. I did mine about how I nearly put a knife in a pulged in toaster when I knew I shouldnt. we had to first do a draft of our story of scrap paper then when we knew it was good we could do it on a normal paper then online and that one is my one online.

Today we did a scavenger hunt with our teina my teina was Ollie. First the tukana had to hide 2 painted rocks each so we couldnt tell our teina were the rocks were. and if you found a rock you would tick it Ollie and I found 32 rocks he was very good at finding the rocks.

We made these ducks for pet day art and this is how I did it. first I painted the background and let it dry. Next I drew my duck in my art book and cut it out. Then I glued fabric and pom poms onto it and painted the beek. after I glued the duck on the backround and thats how it turned out

before the scanvanger hunt we did some skipping with our teina My teina was Ollie. We were skipping with 1 rope for a while then after we tied up two ropes together and two people swung the rope with someone in the middle and that worked really good.
